The Music Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church is all about honoring our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There are many talented folks who are willing and available to use their gifts for God. We strive to have a blended worship style because we have folks who are from all realms of life. Mainly we do contemporary music but there are also hymns in every service.

We have an adult Praise Choir which includes anyone who would like to sing for the glory of God. The age range is from youth to adult. The only requirement for joining this choir is that you have a love for Jesus and want to sing for Him and Him alone. Rehearsals are currently held on Sunday afternoons at 5:15. There are no auditions necessary but know that you will be expected to attend rehearsals so that we may offer our praise offerings to God at the very best that we can. He deserves our best at all things and at all times.

There is also a Praise Band which plays for every service. You would be required to audition for this and would also need to have a love for Jesus and a willingness to play for Him at your very best. Again, needing to be at rehearsals, which are held on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm and on Sunday mornings at 9:00am.

C3, our combined children and youth choir (1-12 grades), meets during the fall going through to spring on Wednesday nights at 6:00 in the choir room. Also the Preschool Choir (preschool-kindergarten) meets at 5:30 on Sunday evenings during the fall going through to spring.

Our goal in the Music Ministry at Calvary is to offer up our very best praise offerings to God and enter into a corporate worship that draws us all closer to Jesus Christ. Many times I tell folks “If you don’t mean it, don’t sing it!” And that’s truly how it should be. When God has gifted you with Music, you are truly blessed because you have something that can be given back to Him continuously. Offer your praises to God in whichever way you are comfortable, but do it. Don’t let the lack of training discourage you. Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord!!
