Core Values

Corporate Worship

(Exalt)

We value the corporate gathering of God’s people together for worship. Corporate worship consists of prayer, praise, giving of offerings, and the preaching/teaching of God’s Word.

(Hebrews 10:25, Psalm 100)

Gospel Community

(Equip and Encourage)

We value gospel community, the living out of the one another’s of Scripture within the body of Christ. We believe healthy Christ followers are equipped and encouraged within gospel community.

(1 Peter 2:9-10, 1 Peter 4:8-11,

 Hebrews 10:24-25, Ephesians 4:1-3,32,

 and Romans 12:9-13 & 15-16)

Love for Our

Neighbors & Nations

(Evangelize)

We value our neighbors and the nations. We must love our neighbors and the nations if we are going to fulfill our Savior’s command of making disciples.

(Matthew 22:39, Matthew 28:19)

Missional Living

(Evangelize)

We value missional living. We believe each member should be living on mission for Jesus, individually and collectively with the body of Christ.

(Matthew 29:19-20, John 20:21,

Romans 12:1)

 Core Beliefs

Trinity

There is one and only one living and true God.  The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.

(Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26,

Matthew 1:23-25,

John 14:16-17 & 26)

God’s Word

We believe God’s Word is inspired, inerrant and infallible.

(2 Timothy 3:16,

2 Peter 1:20-21)

Worship

We believe both public and private worship are essential for spiritual growth.

(Hebrews 10:25,

 Psalm 100, Romans 12:1)

Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer and encourage each member to devote time daily to prayer.

(Acts 2:42)

Salvation

We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

(Ephesians 1:3-14, Ephesians 2:1-10,

Titus 2:11-14)

Discipleship

We believe in equipping Christians to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to carry out the Great Commission.

(Matthew 28:20,

Titus 2:11-14)

Stewardship

We believe Christians are blessed to serve God with their time, talents, and material possessions.  All these are entrusted to them to use for the glory of God and for helping others.

(Matthew 25:14-30,

Ephesians 5:15-17)

Family of God

We believe the church is the family of God made up of brothers and sisters in Christ.  We believe we have the responsibility to care for and encourage one another.

(Ephesians 4:1-6, 25-32,

Romans 12:9-21)

Marriage

& Family

God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society.  Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.  Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord.

(Genesis 2:24-25,

Psalm 127:3,

Psalm 139:13-16)

Evangelism

& Missions

We believe it is the duty of every Christian and every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to seek to extend the gospel, locally and globally.

 (Matthew 28:19-20)

Ordinances:

Baptism & The Lord’s Supper

We believe Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.  We believe the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.

 (Matthew 28:19, Mark 14:22-25)
